Flyer for Parents: All You Need to Know About the Early Years Protest, 5th February

Jan 28, 2020

We are expecting a big turnout of support at the Early Years Protest on the 5th February. As you know, Gaeloideachas will be meeting at the steps of the Hugh Lane Gallery, Parnell Square at 11:15am where we will begin our march in solidarity with naíonraí.

We have put together a bilingual flyer detailing what naíonraí hope to achieve at this protest, which you are free to print and circulate among the parents in you naíonra. We hope that this will help parents to better understand the march, and perhaps even garner further support for the naíonra, which should help you make your decision in sending staff members to the march, or shutting your services on the day. Download here.

The Early Years Alliance has created an event (free of charge) on Eventbrite for the protest in the hopes of better gauging what numbers to expect on the day – if you would like your attendance to be noted and for your voices to be heard in the Early Years debate, you can register at the following link. Not only will EYA have a record of your participation in the march, but you will also ensure that the voice of the Irish language and the naíonraí are heard.

If you wish to let us know that you’ll be with Gaeloideachas on the 5th February, you can send an email to jill@gaeloideachas.ie

There is no need to register beforehand, however – everyone will be welcome on the day. Follow #guthaontaithe and #oneunitedvoice online and support the naíonra on social media if you can!
