Bhí an-áthas orainn freastal ar chéad oíche eolais oifigiúil Ghaelcholáiste Synge aréir, ó d’oscail an scoil i mí Lúnasa.

Idir turais spreagúla, gníomhaíochtaí corpoideachais sa halla, maisiú cácaí, ceol beo agus go leor eile, bhí cuma an-sona ar na scoláirí bunscoile ar fad a bhí i láthair.

Bhí slua ollmhór tuimsitheoirí aus caomhnóirí i láthair le cloisteáil faoina bhfuil á chur ar fáil ag an nGaelcholáiste úr seo i lár na cathrach, agus faoin bhfís uaillmhianach atá ann don Ghaeilge sa gceantar ina iomláine.

Má tá cónaí ort sa gceantar máguaird agus suim agat sna buntáistí a bhaineann leis an tumoideachas, an t-oideachas lán-Ghaeilge agus an dátheangachas do do pháiste, is féidir breis eolais agus an fhoirm chlárúcháin a fháil ar shuíomh na scoile.

Bhí sé go hálainn a bheith i láthair ag an oíche speisialta seo agus an t-atmaisféar spreagúil dearfach a mhothú agus an scoil seo faoi lán seoil anois!

Guíonn muid gach rath ar scoláirí, fhoireann agus theaghlaigh uile na scoile agus iad ag cur tús lena n-oideachas iar-bhunscoile trí mheán na Gaeilge.

We were delighted to attend Gaelcholáiste Synge’s first official information evening last night, following the school’s opening in August.

It was a busy and exciting evening, with tours of the school, PE activities in the hall, cake decorating, music and much more. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and excitement of all the primary school students who came along.

There was a fantastic turnout of parents and guardians, who had the opportunity to find out more about what this new Gaelcholáiste in the heart of the city has to offer, as well as the ambitious vision for the Irish language in the wider community.
