The stories which are suitable to all age groups. Children’s books have been a feature of the publishing programme from the early days of An Gúm but in the last twenty five years or so much more emphasis has been put on this sector.
Its current catalogue of children’s books comprises a wide range of original titles and international co-editions and in recent years many are accompanied by a CD, stories such as Béirín Na Picnice as well as many old favourites and now a wider selection of children’s stories are available on SoundCloud.
Children of all ages can listen to a wide range of stories read by storytellers such as Micheál Ó hUanacháin, Máire Breatnach, Gabriel Rosenstock and MacDara Ó Conaola from Inis Oírr.
